Day 38 Inspired Quotes - Life

Beyond Layers challenge is a week of inspired quotes, one word each day to put in our journal, working a photo and what it means to us.  The word was life.   I had just been out to visit Hagerman Wildlife Refuge which was teaming with life and beauty everywhere.  Living art, life at the most beautiful time of the year at the Refuge.   Robinson Jeffers  so eloquently wrote in Love The Wild Swan:
Oh pale and brittle pencils ever to try
One grass-blade’s curve, or the throat of one bird
That clings to twig, ruffled against white sky.

That pretty much sums it up ~

A Woman Loves Orchids

Orchids are such a treat to lavish on ones self, and so hard to resist the happy little faces.  These white faced lovely's are a type of phalaenopsis showing up at the stores for Valentines.  I used my little 18-50 Canon lens to shoot these and worked them in a couple texture layers.  One in Pretty In Pink with a linear Dodge, and two layers of Canvas Grunge by Kim Klassen at lineral burn, some adjustment layer here and there and finally the nice little quote.  A Woman Loves Orchids Because They Make Her Feel Like She Is Floating On  A Cloud Of Possibilty!
